Saraya Hints at Wrestling Comeback, Natalya Ready for Rematch
Former WWE Divas Champion and ex-AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya has revealed she is preparing for an in-ring return, sharing her excitement about training again and reconnecting with familiar faces from her WWE past. Speaking on Busted Open Radio alongside Dave LaGreca and Natalya Neidhart, the 32-year-old star opened up about her health, her new memoir, and her desire to step back inside the ring.
Saraya, who once wrestled as Paige in WWE, admitted she still feels a strong bond with the company and the women she shared the locker room with. “I miss being around people like Natty. I miss my sisters. I miss being a part of these things,” she said.
Her comments followed the much-discussed WWE return of AJ Lee, whom Saraya described as her “fairy godmother” for guiding her early in her career. The British wrestler noted that fan demand for her comeback has been overwhelming, with social media flooded with clips and requests for her to return.
Saraya confirmed she is medically cleared after past neck issues cut her WWE career short in 2018. “Now my neck is healthy. I’m in full health. I want to start training again. I want to return to the ring and rediscover the same energy I had in my NXT days,” Saraya said, noting that she intends to train with Natalya at the famed Hart Dungeon.
Natalya, who wrestled Saraya multiple times during their WWE careers, welcomed the idea. On the same show, she expressed interest in a long-awaited rematch, calling it “a generational match” and insisting their rivalry has “unfinished business.”
Saraya first rose to prominence in 2014 by defeating AJ Lee on her debut night to capture the WWE Divas Championship. After her forced retirement, she returned to wrestling in AEW in 2022 and won the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In in London last year. As of mid-2025, she remains a free agent.
Whether her comeback takes place in WWE, AEW, or elsewhere, Saraya made clear she has rediscovered her passion for wrestling. For now, fans—and Natalya—are waiting to see when and where she will step into the ring again.
