Denise Richards Seeks Spousal Support, Plans to Show ‘RHOBH’ Footage in Divorce Battle

Denise Richards is intensifying her legal fight with estranged husband Aaron Phypers, requesting spousal support while preparing to present courtroom evidence that includes a scene from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Documents filed on September 3 reveal that the 54-year-old star asked for spousal support from Phypers, 52, while also requesting that he be barred from seeking any support from her. Richards also requested that he cover her legal fees. Their official separation date remains in dispute, with Richards listing it as “to be determined” while Phypers maintains it was July 4.

Richards’ request follows Phypers’ earlier statement that he has not earned any income since shutting down his wellness company in 2024.. He alleged that Richards earns more than $250,000 each month through television projects, endorsements, appearances, and her OnlyFans account. In his petition, he sought spousal support and outlined what he described as the couple’s $105,000 monthly expenses, including $18,000 in rent, $20,000 for clothing, and $15,000 on dining and entertainment.

Tensions have escalated further as Richards prepares to introduce RHOBH footage as part of her request for a permanent restraining order. The scene, which aired in 2020, shows Phypers telling her, “Don’t tell me what to say, or I’m going to crush your f***ing hand.” Richards also submitted photographs, alleged text messages, and other evidence she says demonstrate a pattern of abuse during their six-year marriage.

Phypers has strongly denied all allegations of abuse, issuing a statement that he has “never physically or emotionally harmed” Richards or anyone else. He described the claims as “false and deeply hurtful,” adding that he believes the truth will eventually clear his name.

This is the latest chapter in a high-profile divorce that has included disputes over finances, living arrangements, and now allegations of violence. Richards’ next court appearance is set for September 8, when she will present her evidence in a hearing for a permanent restraining order.
